Independent Publishing House

If it can hold a story, it can become a book.

Ink With Intention helps writers, artists, educators, and creators turn finished work into professionally published books. Every project is produced with care — choose an upfront publishing package and keep complete ownership, or explore one of our selective publishing partnerships.

Built by a creator who became a publisher.

Ink With Intention was founded by Relessa Agbeye to make professional publishing accessible without sacrificing quality or ownership.

Ink With Intention wasn't created around one book. It was built around a publishing vision. Before opening its doors, hundreds of original publishing projects had already been planned, written, outlined, or developed across multiple genres and formats.

Every project follows the same process — from editing and design to production and publication — whether it's your first book or your fiftieth. The goal isn't simply to publish books. It's to produce work you're proud to put your name on.

Every project is personally overseen by founder Relessa Agbeye, from planning through publication. You won't be passed between departments — you'll work directly with the person producing your project.

No Money Right Now?
Don't let that stop you from reaching out.

Some of the best projects at Ink With Intention started with someone who simply couldn't pay upfront. In select cases, Ink With Intention takes on a project purely on royalties — no fee at all — when the work is worth the investment.

Not every project gets a yes. But no project gets a yes without a conversation first. Reach out — worst case, we talk through other options that fit.

FAQ

Common questions.

Most projects are Publishing Services: pay a project fee once, and keep 100% of royalties going forward since the work is already paid for. Some partnerships include a smaller upfront fee plus an ongoing royalty split; select partnerships involve no fee at all, paid purely on royalties. Payment is always paid on a set schedule with a statement showing units sold.
You always retain copyright ownership of your work. A Publishing Partnership grants Ink With Intention a license to publish and distribute — not a transfer of copyright — for a set term.
Yes. Nothing goes live until you've reviewed and approved the final cover and interior layout.
Timelines vary by project and are agreed upfront. A straightforward formatting and cover project moves faster than a full manuscript build from a partial draft — you'll get a target delivery date before work begins.
Reach out anyway. In select cases, Ink With Intention takes on a project purely on royalties, no fee at all, when the work is worth the investment. It's not guaranteed for every project, but it's always worth the conversation.
This is set in your agreement — typically Amazon, with wider print and ebook distribution available depending on the project.
There's no penalty to you. Royalties are simply based on actual sales, and partnership agreements include terms protecting you if a title stops earning.
